A typical home inspection will last about three hours. At the beginning of the inspection, you will be given and asked to sign an "Inspection Agreement", that outlines the services that will be provided and the cost of those services. Payment is requested at the time of the inspection. You can also download a copy of the agreement here.
During the inspection the inspector will note any defects, safety items, and deferred cost items encountered at the time of the inspection. The inspector will also be able to answer any questions you may have at this time.
The home inspector will prepare a computer generated report with digital photos of the home. The report is approximately 20 - 30
pages in length and includes a detailed summary. It is usually delivered within 24 hours, often during the same day as the inspection.
Once you have received the report you will work with your agent regarding any actions to be taken based on the home inspection. We will be happy to work with you and your agent during this final process to answer any questions you may have regarding the report.
